Whether you're a professional swimmer, or just an
amateur, it is important to buy a high quality swimsuit that will be able to
withstand your activities in and out of the water.
1. Who says sports swimsuits cannot be fashionable?
Brands like zealous swimwear, and Betty designs make
suits which streamline your swim strokes, reduce drags and also make you look
fashionable.
2. While choosing a sports swimsuit, make sure you
choose a water-repellent fabric which has hydrophobic finish to it. Fabric
plays an important role in compressing your body, which also helps in reducing
vibration.
3. The suit should be proper fitting, wrinkle-free,
and skin tight. The suit should not restrict your range of motion, and there
should be no wrinkles in the fabric that may add drag to your swimming. You may
even have to buy a swimsuit one size smaller, even if it takes time to wear it.
4. In the swimsuit industry, the sports swimsuit
tends to cost more than normal suit. Do not compromise with your performance
just to buy a cheap suit.
5. Normally the fabric of the performance suits
expand in the water, so you might have to buy a suit that's one or two sizes
smaller than your actual size. However, if you do not intend to swim in a
competition, and you're just swimming for leisure, you can always buy your
normal size swimsuit.
