Tips to Wash and Care for your Swimwear

It’s going to be summertime pretty soon, and guess most of you will be heading to local beaches and pools trying to beat the heat. Today I have gathered few tips for you on how to best care for your swimwear to keep them clean and long-lasting.

Branded sports swimwear can be an expensive purchase, so it’s important to take good care of it.

Rinse after Use
Even if you’re just sun-bathing, it’s advised to rinse your swimsuit with cool water. Sweat can negatively affect the elasticity of your suit, causing it to stretch.

Soak in Cold Water
Soak your swimwear in cold water for about half an hour to get rid of any sweat, sand or chemicals.

Wash
Rinsing and soaking are important but don’t forget a good wash. Hand washing your swimwear with liquid detergent is the best way to keep it in good shape.

Dry Flat
When it comes to drying a sporty swimwear, you should be very careful as it can affect the color. Don’t drape your suit over a railing to dry in the sun, or don’t even throw it in the dryer. The best way is to squeeze out as much water as you can and then lay it flat to dry, keeping away from the sun.

Have fun in the water!
